Abstract

 

The activities of marketing is the key of the manufacture company, where the operational company can’t run well without the process of buying. Consumers will decide to buy the product by considering the quality of the product itself, so the promotion will be done to get the tempation of buyers.This study is done to know the effect of the quality of product and promotion toward thebuying decision in home industry  cassava chips Rejo Abadi Pituruh Purworejo.

The population in this study are the consumers of cassava chips Rejo Abadi Pituruh Purworejo, 150 persons. The number of sample is 30 personsbyinsidental random sampling method, then the technic of analyzing data used  correlation,regression, determination coefficient, t test and F test.

The result of regression analysis through the partial test is tcount 2.707 > ttable 2.052, it shows that is the significant effect between the quality of product and the consumers buying decision. So the increasing of the quality of product will increase the consumers buying decision and vice versa. The promotion variable was obtained tcount  5.178 > ttable 2.052, it shows that there is significant effect between promotion toward the buying decision. Byincreasing promotion will be followed the buying decision and vice versa. The result of F is Fcount 26.989> Ftable 3.35, so the hyphotesis whis said that there is the simultant effect between the variable quality of product (X1) and promotion(X2) toward the buying decisionof home industry cassava chips Rejo Abadi Pituruh Purworejo is accepted.
